I have never been as scared to finish something as I am with Mirai Nikki and Vampire Knight… My soul fears being crushed. •____• Pls no.

Oh… So you’re finishing Mirai Nikki…
I feel kinda sorry for your, you know, heart. soul. liFE.

I hope when you were running away that you never looked back, never looked back.

I hope when you were running away
that you never looked back, never looked back.

I’ll have to admit that I’m conflicted. The reason is all this Zeki vs Yume that is going on. Let me explain why.
Since the very beggining of the story, I have shipped Yuuki with Zero AND Kaname. I just couldn’t bring myself to choose (like you, Yuuki my dear friend). But, I claim to be a Zeki and that’s what I truly am.
I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way, but today I had this sudden realization that I just shipped Yume because of Kaname.
Kaname did everything for Yuuki. He manipulated humans and vampires. He manipulated the fucking council of elders. He played with people’s lifes so much and let’s take Zero’s life as an example here to see how extreme Kaname was about his desire for Yuuki’s safety. And let’s not forget about Aidou, my poor little baby. Kaname made him be her second knight. He even pretended to kill his father for this purpose and I don’t really remember the evil plot between the lines but I’ve read someone talking about it here on tumblr. Anyway, focusing on the main point again. Yuuki is Kaname’s everything. He’s gentle, passionate, he treats her like a porcelain doll; afraid that one day she’ll might break. And if you stop to think about it, his overprotective ways and the jealousy, is really clear when you read those chapters where she still lived with him locked in that mansion. It’s sad and heartbreaking and beautiful. That’s what Yume is. But if it wasn’t for Kaname and his whole image of lonely wolf (just remembering you guys that one of his “forms” is a big black wolf), a caring and totally in adoration for his princess… I don’t know. Before I really got to know Kaname and the sacrifices he made, the blood that “tainted” his hands, I didn’t ship Yume at all. I was Zeki all the way. Yuuki’s love for Kaname didn’t… touch me. It was Kaname making all the hard work in my heart for Yume’s sake.

OH OH OH AND BEFORE I CONTINUE HERE, JUST LOOK AT THIS. I’m really disappointed with you all for not talking about THIS page
Vampire Knight 92 - Page 23

Do you guys remember why he went with Yuuki on that last mission of hers? To find out if his feelings for her were also something… And that’s not the right word… Fake. Something that was manipulated by Kaname’s hands (And it was not. He only wanted a fucking knight. This gwen-lancelot-arthur thing was surely not what he was searching for). And now he is finaly sure of his feelings, he is not hiding or faking anymore. He’s fucking assuming his knight status and telling Kaname that this got nothing to do with his evil chess game.
BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY… LOOK AT KANAME’S REACTION.
He smiles.
Before Zero’s talk, he was going to fight by Zero’s side, but then, I think he realised that Yuuki was in good hands and became slightly happy about it. Okay okay, everything’s beautiful and perfect BUT THEN, something catches Kaname’s eyes. Bloody Rose has a crack. And we go back to sad, melancholic and dark Kaname again, leaving the battlefield and going towards his death *dramatic song*. And his lasts words are “Yuuki”. Perfect Kaname’s lovely side being perfect.
But anyway. Loved the way there was so much Zeki and Yume intertwined in just one chapter.

Okay, restoring focus.
Now I should talk about Zeki, comparing it to Yume in my heart. But the thing is, I don’t think I can. I always try to define what Zeki means or what Zeki is and I always fail. Ii’s just so natural within me to ship them that… I don’t really know. But I’ll give it a shot, sorry if I fail AGAIN.
While in Yume, my feelings go for the Kaname character; in Zeki, I go for both. What attracts me in this pairing is the way they treat each other. Yume is passionate and kind of something like… It didn’t bloom little by little. They didn’t fall in love. They looked at each other and BOOM, love.

image

It’s like they were made for each other, born into this. And, at least, for me, although it’s really cute and beautiful, it’s unappealing.
I love to see Zero and Yuuki together, their interaction and how they deal with each other throught the chapters. I see their growth, I see them growing together. And it’s obvious that they changed a lot, but when they’re together it’s like the years didn’t pass by. Well, at least when Zero lets his walls come down. EXAMPLES TIME.

AFTER:

Okay, I have more examples here but I’m just too lazy to edit and my internet isn’t cooperating here so… I swear that I’ll make a part 2. One day. But, these are the funny/cute moments. I’m not putting anything romantic/dramatic/heartbreaking here. I just wanted to show this side that I love about them.
Zero treats her like an equal. She’s not his porcelain doll, they fight side by side, they have each others back. He trusts her strength and still, he’s always trying to protect her in his own way. I ALWAYS FAIL AT EXPLAINING WHAT MADE ME SHIP THEM, OH LORD.
The thing is: I like to see the development. The fights, the ups, the downs, the funny, the sad and I love Zero and his strong willed character, and the way he is with Yuuki. I love Yuuki and her “klutzy way”, as Zero would say. She’s stubborn, kind and a total klutz. And when she’s near Zero it seems to get worse and I jUST CAN’T HANDLE THE FEELINGS.
So, that’s why I’m conflicted. I want Yume to happen because Kaname reasons. I want him to be happy. AND ALIVE. EVEN IF DYING FOR THAT PURPOSE HE WANTED ALL ALONG MAKES HIM HAPPY I DON’T CARE. ALIVE, KANAME, A L I V E.
And I want Zeki to happen because I love how Yuuki and Zero are together. I love their atmosphere, I love their love. I want Zero so fucking much to be happy, he’s my favorite character of all times. And Yuuki, I don’t know. I like her character so much more when she’s close to Zero because she acts kind of different as you could see from the examples I showed you. I JUST DON’T…LDSKJGLDKJGNLKDS ZEKI.
So, if Yume happens I’ll be destroyed but slightly happy because Kaname is alive. If Zeki happens I’ll be like KNFGVKNJFGJKNFNBNGLGKN but sad because Kaname’s dead. And if Kaname dies and Yuuki ends up alone, and Zero ends up alone I’ll just cry in a corner and plot Hino’s death.
That’s it.
Just sharing the shipper war I’m having inside of myself right now.

SEA OF MONSTER’S TRAILER. JESUS CHRIST. THANK YOU.

I JUST WANNA REBLOG THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN OMG OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. OH MY GOD. SWEET LORD.

(Source: city-of-avenging-demigods)

I made this post about how I think vampire knight will end.
But now, thinking better, if things end up like that, we’ll have Kaname, Zero, Yuuki and the hunters, fighting side by side in this war against purebloods.

It would be awesome

Can I just take a moment to say how perfect this is? Like, the lighting on Jack is even from the right angle! Whoever made this is really good with photoshop.

This isn’t Photoshopped, he was there the entire movie. We just couldn’t see him

get out.

because we didn’t believe in him, but now we believe.

I do respect that. But I was reffering to the fact that people were hating him and criticizing him saying that he was ‘such an egoistical brat’.
You can hate him for various reasons, but not for being a ‘selfish little bastard’.
Ok, I’ll be rather brief here since my english sucks and I really don’t know how to put my thoughts into words.
I do know that Zero is a character full of flaws, flaws that can make you either love him or hate him. Or be indifferent about him, like you two are.
He’s not perfect, and even if he was perfect, you could still hate him. I’m not taking this right from anyone. But I do love him. I love his flaws and his qualities. Like someone here on tumblr said: He was the only character that was rightful until the end. He can be anything that you claim him to be, but not selfish. And that’s why I love him.
So, no, I don’t think it’s reasonable for people to hate him because his selfish, since he’s not. Anyway, sorry for the misunderstanding, but try to analyze what I said according to the context of the fight.

P.S.: But besides that, do you really believe that he was selfish in this last chapter? I mean, what did he do to make people think that? And sorry for talking about him like he’s real becuase I just have this feelings inside asdfghj, dlkjffg

As I said, I do not hate him:) Just totally tired of the people who claim that he is the perfect little angel. He is not. And thank you for accepting the fact that he indeed has flaws.^_^ That is what makes him interesting, but people fail to realise this…

I don’t think he was selfish in the latest chapter, I don’t know where did that idea come from. (Actually I didn’t even see the post that started all this fight about Zero.)

Well I don’t think anyof the characters in VK will remain just until the end. If you believe Zero wasn’t selfish then please reread the earlier chapters wherein he agreed to drink Yuki’s blood for the reason that he can live longer. Kaname allowed that because he trust Zero more than anyone else and he believe that with the use of his and her  pureblood, the hunter will protect the princess until the very end. If there’s someone who’s selfless in the whole series, I think its Yuki. She erased Zero’s memories not because she wanted to forget him and then have a sexual intercourse with Kaname. All what Yuki did is for Zero’s sake because she can no longer afford seeing him get hurt because of longing to protect her again. All this time, she’s been struggling to protect the two male protagonists and that’s admirable for a main a heroine to do.

No offense because this is just an opinion and I highly respect your decision. I ship Zeki too so no hard feelings if possible.

Oookay, again, all of this crazy discussion started with people saying he was selfish in the latest chapter. But now you’re saying he was selfish before, okay. I mean, I don’t think it was a selfish response of his, since he didn’t want to drink her blood at all. He was struggling so much it was almost driving him crazy (as it did, when he first drank her blood and he felt like the worst person ever. he even locked himself and was now assured that he was a monster). So she came for him and said: Hey, I’ll save you. Let’s do this shit together, you can drink my blood. You will fucking drink my blood, I won’t let you fall to the E state. And only then he began to drink Yuuki’s blood, well, he still struggled but… He followed his principles until the end, that’s why I think he was the only character that kept on being rightful. Rightful to his own principles. Kaname knew that. Kaname knew every single trait Zero had and he trusted him because he knew that Zero would always be the rightful knight. The knight that Yuuki needed.
Kaname is such a genius it hurts. Like really. That guy just knows about everything. “But…” NO. HE KNOWS IT.
Well, now, about Yuuki. I don’t think she’s selfish. But let’s make one thing clear here: You could be selfish while doing good actions to other people, while sharing with other people. But only with the people you care about, the whole world… Well, that’s different.
So, no, Yuuki’s not selfish. She always wants to help everybody, and save everybody.
But, I do think that her wanting to sacrifice herself in order to make Kaname human was a selfish thought. But c’mon, she’s a vampire being. She can’t be perfect. She loves Kaname just too much, she doesn’t want to see him dying. Is that a crime? I don’t think so. And her making Zero forget all about her, yes, it was selfish. Okay, she didn’t want to see him in pain, but that’s for him to decide. Not her. Although it’s beautiful and caring, yes, it’s selfish. But then again, she loves her boys too much, she always wants to protect them from everything. That makes her do reckless things (like Kaname said) and selfish things too. And it’s not a crime.
Although I truly love Yuuki, I hate her sometimes. But although I fucking truly love Zero, I hate him sometimes too. It’s natural, they’re characters with flaws so, yes, sometimes I might get angry with them but I still love them.
No offense taken HAHAHAHAAH I’m a zeki shipper too.

There’re actually people who can hate Zero?

Why…yes. Yes. Yes, there can be fans who hate Zero’s guts with a passion. And there are. =D But personally, hate is a strong word. I prefer the term…indifferent. Either way, there’s no need to fret over it. To each his own.

Oh yeah, it can happen that people do not really like Zero. I won’t say I hate him, because I don’t. I’m rather indifferent. Everyone has every right to like or dislike a character, respect that.

I do respect that. But I was reffering to the fact that people were hating him and criticizing him saying that he was ‘such an egoistical brat’.

— On the Topic of Character Hate:

poisongurl:

Kaname has soooo many flaws too but I love him so. I step up to defend him at any cost. Zero and him are both my babies. Kaname fans have fought so hard THROUGHOUT the years to defend Kaname. and it was so damn hard to defend him because:

1. YES, he is a freakin’ pureblood vampire. Vampires embrace all the darkness of mankind. I would not want to see any ‘sparkly’ ‘vegetarian’ vampires falling in love with little teenage girls. Throughout history, a vampire embraces all the dark qualities and they are usually NEVER the good guy. He comes into your bedroom and drinks your blood and you scream. Kaname is a beautiful demonstration of that. Except, he is now acknowledged as someone with purpose and feelings and capable of love. In my opinion, he is vulnerable because he is misunderstood.

You see, people see things in black and white. The disney story-makers often times draw the good guy versus the bad guy. When you grow up, thats how you learn to see things. ‘is he a good guy?’ but we never learned to see things any other way. Every person is complex and capable of doing good and bad things. That is what I love about Kaname Kuran. He embraces that fine line between good and evil.

2. In this series, Purebloods are desirable and that makes them vulnerable in many ways. Kaname protects Yuuki at all costs. YES, ALL COSTS. He ruined the kiryu family. Does this make his actions justifiable? No! Did he ever even say he was a good person? no! He simply did not care about Zero and wanted to use him as a weapon of protection. It is in his nature to ensure the safety of his loved one. It is not a question of good and bad. Purebloods USE people. Hating kaname alone does you no good in terms of moralistic judgement concerning the content of the story.

That (long list) said, I believe Zero is one of the main pillars of Vampire Knight. Kaname acknowledges his existence to the point that he wants to entrust Yuuki to him. He probably realizes just how compassionate and good-hearted Zero is. You can hate all you want, but turning your anger to someone who has suffered so much is a bit bizarre to understand, especially if you are a Kaname fan. Kaname has suffered tremendously, but yet you fail to treat Zero with the same compassion.
